제사와 성묘는 영어로 어떻게 쓸까?

이제 곧 민족의 명절 추석입니다.

한국에서는 추석에 제사를 지내고 성묘를 하곤하죠

오늘은 제사와 성묘는 영어로 어떻게 쓰는지 알아보겠습니다.

1. 제사(Ancestral Ceremonies)

조상에게 바치는 의식이죠.

The custom of ceremonies to honor deceased relatives came to Korea from China even before Confucianism. It was reinforced when Confucianism became a major force influencing social behavior. The ceremonies stressed filial piety and helped strengthen the bonds between living family members.

2. 성묘(Ceremonies at the Grave, 省墓)

무덤에서 행하는 의식입니다. 무덤을 살피는 것이죠.

Ceremonies are performed in front of the grave when the body is buried. They are then regularly performed in the spring, autumn, and sometimes at whichever New Year the family celebrates. the oldest living male descendant is the leader responsible for the ceremony.
